The market was divided into two rows the craft and food. We walked down to see the artisans and farmers. Everyone was super helpful and welcoming. We chatted with many vendors and were able to make some meaningful connections for future events. This market features sustainable and organic farmers more than others.

When you visit the market you should stop by My Vegan Sweet Tooth, Tonya is so sweet and so are her treats. She makes gluten free and vegan cookies, cupcakes, and cinnamon rolls. We got a giant cinnamon roll and it was hard to not dig in right away.
We stopped at Bergey's Blossoms, to taste their homemade peanut butter. It was fantastic! We purchased some from Laura, you have to get some of this! For lunch we made PB sandwiches, and loved it!
Then we stopped by Fresh Batch Jams, and got some Aloha jam. It is a pineapple and coconut flavored jam. It is delicious with our pb.
We saw some cute goats and noticed the samplings of goat cheese and instantly were interested in Shady Goat Farm. Shannon was delightful and let us taste some different goat cheeses and truffles. Yum yum yum! We loved her and her product, we even met the head cheese, her husband who works on the farm. We bought some goat cheese from them and hope to work with them in the future.
On our way out of the market we walked through the craft area and I (Nikki) noticed some children's books at the Blue Crab Book stand. Dianna had some beautiful Earth, culture, garden, and poetry books. They are 2$ for hard backs, 1$ for paperbacks. She had many titles I had not seen before and she even donated some to my classroom!!!! Dianna and Blue Crab Books rock! We hope to team up in the future to work on our school garden, she is an eight grade teacher and has her students help with gardens and other science projects in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
